Offline Storage

Next Session: August 30, 2011

Time: 10:30am-12pm PST

Location: Online

In this 90 minute training seminar, we will be doing an introduction to offline storage for your mobile devices, followed by a step by step guide of using various offline storage techniques that the developers here at Nitobi use!

What is required for this training:

  • Source code editor for HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • PhoneGap Build account
  • Device or simulator for Android or iOS (one or both)
    • Device
      • Android: Be sure to enable third-party applications
      • iOS: You will need a provisioning profile.
        • Need to be a part of the iOS developer program ($99)
        • Need to have your provisioning profile paired with your PhoneGap Build account and have your device
        • To learn how to pair your provisioning profile, view the documentation on PhoneGap Build
        • To learn how to provision your device, view Apple's documentation
    • Simulator
      • You need the appropriate SDK installed and setup
        • Android: http://www.phonegap.com/start/#android
        • iOS: http://www.phonegap.com/start/#ios

We STRONGLY recommend you download the required software (Eclipse, Xcode, PhoneGap, Android SDK, iOS SDK, etc) before attending the event if you wish to follow along with the presenter.
